Shamed golfer Tiger Woods has been reunited with his wife at a Mississippi rehab centre.
In an attempt to fix their marriage, Elin Nordegren showed up at Tiger's sex-addiction clinic yesterday to welcome him back home. Surrounded by heavy security, the couple was spirited out of the Gentle Path centre in Hattiesburg, sources said.
‘The couple is planning to spend some time alone as they attempt to repair their marriage,' a source close to the family said.
Woods spent a month at the low-profile rehab centre undergoing group and individual counselling after his marriage, and image, exploded in a spectacular sex scandal and claims of affairs with a string of women, including cocktail waitresses and party hostesses. The 33-year-old admitted to infidelity and issued an extraordinary public apology for his 'transgressions', confessing 'I have let my family down'.
Tiger was expected to spend some time with the couple's two young kids, Sam and Charlie, before heading off for private time with Ms Nordegren, sources told RadarOnline.com.
In the wake of the scandal, involving 14 women, Ms Nordegren hired a top divorce lawyer and was said to be ready to take her share of the marital assets and run. But in recent weeks she decided to try to make the marriage work, according to Radar.
