This is why you should always keep your phone in flight mode while on a plane

Have you ever wondered why you should have your phone in flight mode while taking to the skies? And what does keeping it on normal mode actually do?
When someone posed the question on Quora, a pilot logged on to answer the question and reveal that while you won’t mess with the earth’s gravitational force or anything, you will really irritate the pilot and potentially give them a nasty headache.
We’d rather the person flying our plane wasn’t irritated or in pain.
‘Your phone will probably annoy a few pilots and air traffic controllers. But, most likely, not badly enough for them to take action against you...’ the user revealed.
'You may have heard that unpleasant noise from an audio system, that occasionally happens when a mobile phone is nearby. I actually hear such a noise on the radio while flying. It’s not safety critical but it’s annoying for sure.
‘It makes a bzzzt-bzzzt-bzzzt-bzzt-bzzt. Now imagine that noise in the pilot's headphones, while [he or she] is receiving a critical bit of information from ground control!’
