More than just good Friends?

For a decade, Chandler Bing and Monica Geller's love story on Friends was followed by millions - and now it has been reported that real life Chandler (that's Matthew Perry) wishes he had a real life romance with his former co-star Courteney Cox.

A source told Us Weekly that Matthew Perry was ‘in love’ with Courteney Cox, who played his on-screen wife Monica, expanding, ‘Matthew’s always been in love with her. ‘Matthew has never fully been able to get over her.’

This comes four years after it was claimed the former co-stars were casually dating following Courteney’s brief split from Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Jennifer Aniston's BFF is back in a relationship with Johnny after reconciling in March 2016. Courteney, 55, and Johnny, 43, began dating in 2013 and later became engaged. But they called it off in 2015 and Court admitted in January that their relationship was ‘better’ once they took the pressure off.

During Friends Monica, sorry, Courteney was married to David Arquette from 1999 until 2013, and the pair share the a 15-year-old daughter called Coco.

Meanwhile Matthew, 50, dated Julia Roberts during the 90s, but is believed to be single after splitting from Mean Girls star Lizzy Caplan in 2012 after six years together.

Last week, Courteney shared a super sweet selfie with her pal, writing on Instagram: ‘Guess who I had lunch with today….I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends.’

Jen commented under the snap, 'MATTY!! I LOVE YOU, GUYS', while Lisa Kudrow wrote, 'Lucky lucky. #beautifulpeople'.

It has also been claimed that HBO Max is planning a Friends reunion special. Supporting this, Jennifer suggested that all the main cast members - Courteney, Matthew, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Lisa - were ‘working on something’.

HBO Max, which owns the rights to the show, and original producers Warner Bros Television, have declined to comment on the report.

We'd have loved to listen in on that lunch conversation...
