Victoria Beckham has joined the fashion elite in the hotly-anticipated British Fashion Awards 2013 nominations today, racking up an incredible two mentions in the most exciting categories.

The Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer has been nominated for the Red Carpet Award, which gives recognition to a British designer who is ‘creating global awareness of their designs in the media’. Victoria is up against some of the fashion industry’s finest – Antonio Berardi and Erdem – while in her second nomination category – for Brand Of The Year – she faces compeition from Alexander McQueen and Burberry. WOW.

Marc Jacobs has been nominated for the brand new International Designer Of The Year award following his departure from Louis Vuitton last month, while Cara Delevingne is, of course, up for the Model Of The Year gong.

The British Fashion Awards are judged by over 300 of the industry’s retailers and experts and the winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony at London’s Coliseum on 2 December.

Victoria famously walked away with the Designer Brand Of The Year award back in 2011, cementing her status in the fashion industry as one to watch. She beat Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Burberry and took to the stage for an emotional speech during which she sobbed and thanked her children and David Beckham for their support.

    It. Was. Adorable.

Last year, she went home empty-handed – could 2013 be the year she takes home TWO gongs? Good luck, VB – we’re rooting for you…
