Marc Jacobs has bid farewell to his beloved Louis Vuitton with one final campaign to accompany his Spring Summer 2014 collection.

Leaving his role as creative director at the coveted French fashion house, the iconic designer has called in his ultimate muses to model the final designs.

Gisele Bundchen, Edie Campbell, Sophia Coppola, Catherine Deneuve, Fan Bingbling and Caroline de Maigret made up the privileged few, photographed by Steven Meisel for eight breathtaking portraits.

British model, and Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, Edie was previously handpicked by Jacobs to open his final Louis Vuitton catwalk show in New York this September.

The fierce all-black collection looks just as incredible as it did on the runway, with sequin embellishments, embossed leather, and lace textures teamed with new season Vuitton arm-candy. Swoon.

Leaving Louis Vuitton to focus on his eponymous label, Jacobs has since spoken out about his predecessor, and former Balenciaga creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiére.

‘He is a brilliant designer and he’ll do something completely different,’ Jacobs said. ‘I’ve always admired Nicolas. I’m curious to see what he’ll do. We have such different aesthetics.’

Adding: ‘Things need to change. I’m really glad someone I respect and admire, and think is a really great talent, is there.’

We can’t get enough of Marc Jacobs’ final collection for Louis Vuitton, what do you think?
