Robert Pattinson has been taking fashion tips from Frida Giannini at Gucci

Robert Pattinson certainly seems to been smartening up his act of late. And now we know why. The Twilight actor has admitted he has been taking fashion tips from a rather famous fashion name - none other than Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.

With his fondness for untucked shirts, and that rainbow knit that did the rounds a few years back, we didn't really have Robert Pattinson down as a fashion fan.

But it seems we were wrong.

The actor, who has been looking noticeably dapper on the red carpet this season, has been talking styling with Gucci's Giannini and her team, and has the designer on speed dial for all his red carpet occasions.

'She taught me one thing - you should definitely have good contacts at Gucci,' Rob laughed in a new interview with GQ.co.uk. 'They're absolutely amazing.

'The amount of times I've been stuck in some random city and have called her up and had things brought in at absolutely the last minute - it's crazy. But also all this stuff is custom-made.'

Now we are jealous.

Impressing us with his fashion know-how, Rob continued: 'You can do quite crazy things [with colour] if you have incredibly classic, really well-made suits.

'I guess I've been quite boring for a while. I used to be more interesting with them. Now I always just request things two days before: "Can you send 25 suits?" I don't even know what I want to wear!'

Whatever he's doing, we think we can safely say it's working. We wonder what girlfriend Kristen Stewart thinks...
