What do you get when you team the beauty of Georgia May Jagger with the camera skills of Ellen Von Unwerth, and the lust-worthy jewellery of Thomas Sabo? A TV campaign that fashion dreams are made of, that’s what.
To celebrate the opening of Thomas Sabo’s first flagship store in London’s Mayfair (65 South Molton Street, to be exact), the jeweller has unveiled the very first TV campaign in the brand’s 30 year history - and us lucky ladies at Marie Claire have been an exclusive peak at the backstage action.
In the exclusive shot, star of the show Georgia May is seen in a chic black body and a selection of AW14 pieces from the cool ceramics range including a duo of the brand’s iconic charm bracelets.
The TV campaign itself was created by legendary photographer Ellen von Unwerth, and follows 22-year-old Georgia May dressing up in glam partywear getting ready for a night out, adding her jewellery in front of a to-die-for light studded mirror. And all to a soundtrack fo The Cradgians' Lovefool. We love.
When asked about starring in the TV campaign, Georgia said: 'For me TV always speaks more to you than a photo and more people see itso I get a lot more comments on it. It makes me a bit nervous to be honest.'
And will she be following in BFF Cara Delevigngne's acting footsteps? 'Well, I have had experiences in acting before. But to be honest I am hoping for a future in actually photographing and filming the commercials like Ellen now, who used to be a model as well. That’s obviously my kind of a goal rather than acting, but I never say never if it was the right part. I just always think I would rather be a zombie in a movie than being a lead actress!'
This is the first time Unwerth, who has shot everyone from Kate Moss and Rihanna to the Kardashians, has worked with Thomas Sabo but she clearly impressed the big bosses with the short film, as the dream duo will be working together for the next three seasons.
