With a so-called ‘Cheryl’s army’ of followers in residence at the X Factor each week, and Rihanna, Will.I.Am and Tiny Tempah all declaring their adoration, Cheryl Cole is no stranger to having famous fans. But now the star is about to add a member of royalty to the collection, with Prince Harry reportedly ‘desperate’ to meet her.

The young royal is said to be ‘huge fan’ of the show, and is glued to ITV on Saturday night’s to keep up with the action. ‘Harry's a huge fan of X Factor and watches it week in, week out,’ one insider revealed.
He was spotted in the audience during the live shows last year, with then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy in tow, but this year Harry is newly single, and has reportedly put in a request to meet the famous Mrs Cole. ‘He fired off a series of missives, requesting time with Cheryl and some tickets to The X Factor,’ one insider told the Mirror.
‘Harry was due to attend a private showcase but had to pull out at the last minute. So a visit to the Fountain Studios in Wembley, where the show is filmed, has been arranged for him instead.’
And sources say Mrs C is delighted to hear the news. ‘Cheryl is massively flattered and naturally keen on meeting the Prince,’ one added.
Meanwhile, it’s thought Cheryl could be planning an image overhaul, after Dannii has consistently won the style war during the live shows.
‘She’s culling her wardrobe for the rest of the show and will go for a completely new image. She gambled on something edgy this year and it’s backfired big time,’ one insider added.
