The hotly-tipped flick tells the story of Miral, a smart and spirited young Palestinian girl as she tries to find her way in troubled Jerusalem.
Sent to an institute for children aged seven, Miral grows up sheltered from the tensions of the outside world.
But she quickly rediscovers the problems emerging as an adult, struggling to decide whether to follow her heart and fight for what she believes, or whether education is the real road to peace.
