The star has been consoling Toni Terry in the wake of her husband's infidelity

She famously 'didn't call' Cheryl Cole amid allegations of Ashley's infidelity, but it seems Victoria Beckham is making up for her past mistakes by offering John Terry's wife Toni support as she agonises over her husband's affair.

According to The Sun, the pair had a heart-to-heart on the telephone after reports of the footballer's relationship with Vanessa Perroncel surfaced, whereby Posh urged devastated Toni: 'You must talk to John to decide whether you can save your marriage. And whether you want to.'

Having overcome her own share of heartbreak when her marriage was rocked by claims David slept with his former PA, Rebecca Loos, five years ago, Posh told Toni the next few weeks will be he hardest of her life, but that she must face John and hear his side of the story.

Toni, currently in Dubai, is said to be mulling over the idea of a reunion with John after he sent her a string of texts begging her to salvage their marriage.

This comes despite further allegations at the weekend claiming the former England captain bedded Big Brother star Orlaith McAllister, 30, and paid off other women so they wouldn't sell their stories.

A source said: 'Toni sees Victoria as Queen of the WAGs, with maturity and compassion to impartially advise her over something deeply personal and upsetting.'

'There is no one better qualified to advise on the ups and downs of being married to a world-famous England star and she and David are also now seen as the most stable and loving couple in football.'
