The actor, who plays werewolf Embry Call in the famous films, was arrested after failing to attend court for a previous drink-driving charge
Uh-oh. Twilight star Kiowa Gordon landed himself in hot water – and behind bars – earlier this week, after being arrested in Arizona for failing to attend court on a DUI charge.
The muscly actor – who plays werewolf Embry Call in the famous films – was taken into custody after being pulled over by police, who discovered during the routine registration check there were not one, but two warrants out for his arrest.
It’s thought the first warrant was put out for his arrest after he failed to attended court on a DUI charge – for driving under the influence of drugs.
Reports suggest the second was issued in relation to arrest in 2010, for possession of drug paraphernalia.
‘The Mesa Police Department arrested Kiowa Gordon for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued by the Mesa Municipal Court,’ police spokesman Sgt Ed Wessing confirmed in a statement.
‘The Mesa Police Department took custody of Kiowa Gordon from the Tempe Police Department at 2630 W. 8th Street and he was transported to the Mesa City holding facility for processing on the outstanding Mesa warrant. ‘
According to insiders the actor – whos stars in the long-awaited Twilight Breaking Dawn movie, set to his screens later this year – was on his way to an audition in LA when he was stopped by police.
It’s thought the 21-year-old has now been released from the Maricopa County Jail, pending a court appearance on August 18.
