Days after Billy Ray Cyrus called off the divorce, Miley’s mum Tish has spoken out about the events
Just days after country singer Billy Ray Cyrus revealed he had dropped a divorce petition against his wife – and mum to Disney star Miley – Tish has spoken out about the events, and how their family is now 'stronger than ever'.
In October 2010 Billy split from Tish after a 17-year marriage, swiftly filing for divorce.
And only months later, the Achy Breaky Heart star spoke out about his life in a brutally honest GQ interview, claiming daughter Miley’s rise to fame following her Hanna Montana show 'destroyed' his family.
'I was going to work every single day knowing that my family had fallen apart, but yet I had to sit in front of that camera,’ he said at the time. ‘I look back and I go, “How did I ever make it through that?” I must be a better actor than I thought’
But last week Billy announced he had ditched the divorce, and was desperate to put his family ‘back together’.
And now his wife Tish has finally spoken out about the events, thanking fans for their support, and revealing things are finally back on track for the famous family.
‘Big thanks to all of our family, friends, and fans who have kept us in their thoughts and prayers,’ she wrote, in a message on her official Facebook page.
‘I feel so blessed to have so much support from all of you.’
‘Our family weathered a huge storm and I feel we are stronger than we have ever been,' she added. 'Much love to all of you guys! You're the BEST.’
