The stars of Strictly Come Dancing 2010 get glammed up for new series launch show
The new stars of Strictly Come Dancing were only announced yesterday, but it seems they can’t wait to get their sequins on.
All 14 celebrity contestants, their dance partners, judges and hosts Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly turned out for a special launch show of the new series.
Ex-EastEnders babe Kara Tointon set the standard for sexy costumes on the new show, as she appeared in a barely-there blue dress, slashed at the side and just about held together on her hip.
She was joined by fellow soap actress Tina O’Brien in a plunging peach gown, and ex-Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams, who wowed the crowds (yes, people turned up to see them) on the red carpet with a very mini orange fringed dress.
Judge Alesha Dixon wore a strapless white puff-ball mini and accessorised simply with her long legs, while host Tess Daly looked gorgeous in a draped coral frock.
But the boys were not to be outdone. DJ Goldie amazed and amused in a mesh shirt with gold trim, while fellow contestants Gavin Henson and Scott Maslen had a chest-off in navel-grazing black velvet shirts.
The new series of Strictly kicks off this Saturday, with the first live show on 1 October.
