Sarah Jessica Parker reveals her bizarre choice of wedding dress

As Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker may have acted out her fair share of marital mishaps, but she's revealed that her own wedding leaves her full of regret.

The actress, who wed Matthew Broderick back in 1997, chose to wear a black dress for her big day, a decision she now describes as a mistake.

Speaking to U.S. Harper's Bazaar she described, 'James Wilkie’s (her son) teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black?' I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.' Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.''

Elaborating on her unusual choice of frock, the actress explained that she didn't want to draw attention to herself, but would opt for the traditional white dress should she ever renew her vows.

'White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day,' she said.

But her wedding dress isn't the only wardrobe mishap she's suffered. Speaking on that legendary Sex and the City wardrobe she described, 'I got to wear such incredible things, and you make such mistakes and there's such hits and great triumphs and there's incredible wrong, wrong, wrong…But it’s so much fun.'

As for how Carrie would cope in the credit crunch, SJP's answer was simple - she wouldn't! The Manolo-loving stylista would probably, 'end up in a hospital,' Parker joked, but added, 'Perhaps she would go back to her 80s stuff and start bringing it out again.'
