The 27-year-old is said to have been dating White for quite a few weeks now since they first met in London while Scarlett was filming for her new movie Under The Skin.
A friend of Dan's told The Sunday Mirror that they were first introduced at a club night in the city.
The source told the paper, 'They got on like a house on fire and Scarlett was into his band's music. There was an instant connection.
'They've been seeing each other for a good few weeks. Dan's proper happy about it and what guy wouldn't be? He already thinks the world of Scarlett.'

The news of the pair's romance comes just days after engagement rumours leaked between Scarlett's ex-husband Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
Scarlett, who divorced Ryan Reynolds back in July, has since been linked to actors Sean Penn and Bradley Cooper, but only last week revealed she was happy being single.
