Russell Brand has spoken out about his divorce from Katy Perry, blaming the split on his 'incompatibility' with the US popstrel.

In a recent interview with Australian programme 60 Minutes, Brand opened up on the marriage’s swift end.
'Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don't,' he told host Liz Hayes. 'But if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship, regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.'
He went on to reason that a relationship would work better with people who have similar interests.
‘I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking, and if you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else who into Eastern mysticism.’

He continued: ‘I think if you're a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble. I've been in a lot of trouble.’
It was less than 14 months after their romantic ceremony in India in October 2010 that the Rock of Ages star filed for divorce.
However, Russell seems to harbour no ill feelings towards Katy Perry telling Howard Stern in an interview in July that their long distance relationship was hard to balance.
‘She's young, successful and dedicated,’ said Brand.
