Robert Pattinson is officially back and looking more intense than ever in his new movie, The Rover.
Starring in a tense 60-second teaser trailer for the Hollywood flick, R-Patz takes up the role alongside Guy Pearce as a ruthless gang member, who, quite frankly, looks like he's had better days.
The Twilight heartthrob is also seen injured and left behind after a gang of thieves steal a car owned by Pearce's character, Eric.
The gritty movie directed by David Michôd is set in the eerie Australian outback, and is a follow-up to his 2010 crime drama Animal Kingdom.
And if the first look clip is anything to go by, Robert Pattinson has well and truly shed any remains of his vampire alter-ego, Edward Cullen. Sorry, Twihards.
'The basic story is really quite elemental, you’ve got a really dark, dangerous, murderous person in Guy’s character,' Michôd told Entertainment Weekly last year. 'And in Rob’s character you have a quite troubled and damaged, but beautiful and naïve, soul.’
The Rover is due for release this summer, promising plenty of car chases, shooting and moody moments to satisfy all action film fans.
