Get ready to swoon. After more than a year out of the spotlight, R-Pattz is back on the red carpet and looking better than ever.

Robert Pattinson has been playing hard to get lately. Sure, we've seen him pop up in an airport here or on a film set there - but he's definitely been making an attempt to fly under the radar. He didn't release any films in 2013, and he hadn't done a big red carpet since the 2013 Golden Globes.

Thankfully, his hiatus is officially over.

Rob's upcoming film The Rover debuted at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend, which means we were treated to plenty of beautiful photo ops. First up, the 28-year-old actor went the casual route, rocking skinny jeans, a black polo shirt and a green jacket at the sunny photocall.

But for the film's premiere, Rob dusted off his best tuxedo and worked the red carpet.

It had been more than a year since we'd seen R-Pattz all spruced up in his formalwear - and we almost forgot what we were missing. But after pouring over loads of pictures (those eyes, that mysterious pout, that sexy half-smile), we're starting to recall just why we fell in love with him in the first place.

Oh, and did we mention he's single this time around?
