The Fifty Shades of Grey cast has landed another major new castmember, in none other than singer Rita Ora. But who will she play?

Rita Ora has joined the cast of Fifty Shades Of Grey, the singer confirmed on her official Twitter feed last night. In a shock move by casting producers on the racy movie, the star will play the role of Mia, Christian Grey's adopted younger sister who befriends Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson.

While Rita is best known for her music and her modelling roles with DKNY and Material Girl, she did make a surprise cameo alongside Paul Walker in Fast & Furious 6, and played a role in the 2006 British film, Spivs.

Tweeting the news last night to her 3.4 million followers, Rita said: 'It's official! I've been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian's sister Mia. #FiftyShades'.

Fifty Shades of Grey author E L James retweeted the news.

Filming has already begun on the controversial love story, which follows the life of college student Anastasia Steele, who falls in love with a S&M-loving CEO, Christian Grey, played by the delicious Jamie Dornan. The trilogy of novels has flown off bookshelves across the globe, with an incredible 90 million copies sold to date.

This week, Jamie and Dakota were spotted filming the very first scenes from the movie while they sat in a small coffee shop in Vancouver, overseen by E L James.
