Rihanna found out that her beloved grandmother had died from cancer just before a performance in Sweden
Rihanna is currently mourning the loss of her beloved grandmother and has been using Twitter to pay tribute to the woman she affectionately called Gran Gran Dolly. The star is said to have heard the sad news that her gravely ill grandmother had passed away from cancer just before she went on-stage st the Peace & Love festival in Sweden, where her performance was panned as 'shameful.'
But Rihanna can be forgiven for being less than perfect given the tragic circumstances.
The We Found Love singer was 45 minutes late for her set and is said to have given a 'shaky' performance.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (July 1), Rihanna turned her Instagram into a virtual eulogy, posting a string of photos in tribute to her beloved Gran Gran Dolly.
Not only has the singer had to deal with her beloved grandmother's death but also with exhaustion following a punishing touring schedule over the past weeks.
The 24-year-old postponed her trip to London earlier this month so that she could spend more time with her grandmother.
