Prince Harry laughed off his naked photo scandal at the WellChild Awards in London

Prince Harry joked about the recent naked photo scandal in his first public appearance since the nude pictures of him partying in Las Vegas were leaked online.

The young royal attended the WellChild Awards in London in his role as patron of the charity, which supports terminally and critically ill children in the UK.

Harry demonstrated his great sense of humour when he met six-year-old Alex Logan, who earlier in the day had told ITV News that on meeting the 27-year-old he'd say: 'I'm glad you've got your clothes on Prince Harry!'

When face-to-face with the cheeky little boy, Harry joked: 'You keep looking up at your mum. It looks like you're dying to say something but you're worried she'll tell you off.

'I heard you were on ITV earlier and you said something cheeky but let's not talk about that here.'

Instead, little Alex made do with wiping his favourite toy penguin, Hookie, all over the Prince's head.

During his first official duty since being photographed playing strip billiards at the Wynn Hotel in Vegas, Harry also caught the attention of another female.

Five-year-old Hope Hillis gave him two sloppy licks across his face when she met him, to which he responded jokingly: 'But we've only just met!'

Oh, Prince Harry, we don't think we could love you anymore if we tried.
