But is it better than William's?

Words by Jadie Troy-Pryde

There's no denying that Prince George is one of the cutest little royals, and although it feels like only yesterday that Prince William and Kate Middleton announced the birth of the adorable toddler we're just weeks away from his fourth birthday.

Come September, he'll be putting on his new uniform and getting ready for his first day at school (the pictures are guaranteed to be cuteness overload), and before he does he will be jetting off to Europe on an official royal tour with his royal parents.

But despite seeming all grown up, the prince still has the most adorable nickname for his granny, Queen Elizabeth.

We know that when his father, Prince William, was growing up he used to call the Queen 'Gary' according to a memoir by Richard Kay in the Daily Mail.

'After a fall at Buckingham Palace, the Prince cried out for Gary, Gary,' Kay wrote.

'When a guest asked who Gary was, the Queen stepped in and explained: "I’m Gary. He hasn’t learned to say Granny yet."'

Perhaps the unusual nicknames run in the family because according to Kate, Prince George refers to his grandma as Gan-Gan. Aww.

During an interview about the ruling monarch, Kate said: 'She's been very generous and not sort of been forceful at all in any of her views but I feel she's been a gentle guidance really for me.

'George calls her Gan-Gan. She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay and that just shows her love for the family.'

That is possibly the cutest thing we've ever heard. Can you imagine Liz sneaking around Buckingham Palace leaving little presents for George and Charlotte? We can't deal.
