One Direction’s Liam Payne splits with girlfriend Danielle Peazer

Liam Payne's hectic work schedule is thought to be responsible for ending his two-year relationship

Liam Payne may be enjoying a triumphant time with his band One Direction, but, sadly, such success has not been echoed in his personal life as he’s split from his girlfriend Danielle Peazer.

It appears the strains of a long distance relationship has put too much pressure on the couple and forced them to call time on their two-year love affair. It’s believed the singer’s hectic career commitments meant they hardly saw each other.

A source told the Daily Mirror: 'They have split in the last few days because it has been more and more difficult to keep the relationship going with Liam spending more and more time away.

‘He has hardly been able to see Danielle in recent months and the band have a world tour next year so it was only going to get harder.'

It’s believed the pair ended things amicably, although we imagine both are heartbroken.

The source added ‘They ended things but Liam hopes they have left on good terms. She was the first real love of his life.'

Liam first fell for Danielle when she performed on the X Factor in 2010, when One Direction were contestants on the show. But is was actually Harry Styles who ensured the duo went on a date.

The newly single star previously said: ‘This has never been told before, but when I actually got with my girlfriend, Harry was the boy that set us up.

'Harry is the magic match-up man. He is like Hitch – he can do for everyone else but not himself.'

We suppose that’s because he doesn’t need to, the girls are lining up to steal his heart!
