But she needn’t have worried... She got a standing ovation for her performance

She might be taking time off from work to concentrate on her education, but that hasn't stopped Emma Watson from hitting the stage.

The Harry Potter starlet is currently studying Stateside, at the prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island, where she decided to appear in the campus play with her fellow students.

But despite being one of the highest earning actresses on the planet, and getting paid multi-millions for her film roles, the actress didn't earn a single penny when she took on the role of Olga Sergeyevna in the University production of Anton Checkov's Three Sisters.

And perhaps surprisingly, the experienced actress was apprehensive about her reception.

Emma was nervous beforehand,' a source told The Sun. ‘But she was faultess in her role.'

And on opening night, the 19-year-old even got a standing ovation from her fellow peers.

‘She has been juggling coursework with rehearsals and learning lines, so she's had a lot on her plate,' the source continued.

Emma was over the moon that every show was a full house. She also made some new friends while doing it.'

She must be enjoying her new low-key lifestyle over in the States, but she'll be back wowing us on the red carpets come November, when the first installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is released.

And we can't wait!
