Little Britain star quits West End play after ex-partner Kevin McGee is found hanged
The ex-husband of Little Britain star Matt Lucas has been found dead after hanging himself at his flat.
Kevin McGee, 32, left a suicide note on Facebook before hanging himself at home in Edinburgh.
'Kevin McGee thinks that death is much better than life,' he posted just after 4am yesterday morning.
Police broke into his flat around 8am after close friends raised the alarm.
Matt is said to be 'utterly destroyed' by the news of his ex-husband's death and is being comforted by his comedy partner David Walliams at his home in London.
The Little Britain star has also pulled out of his lead role in West End play Prick Up Your Ears 'until further notice', say the play's producers.

Matt and Kevin were married in a civil partnership in 2006 and had a huge panto-themed wedding reception attended by many of their showbiz friends.
But the couple split up last year, and were officially divorced in January.
'Matt was floored when he heard the news. He always loved Kevin, despite their differences and their difficult marriage,' a friend told The Sun.
Kevin, a TV producer, is thought to have become deeply depressed since the divorce and friends said his drug-taking had 'spiralled out of control', reports the Daily Mail.
The pair met in 2002 when Kevin worked for Comic Relief and Matt had yet to become famous with Little Britain.
At the time of their divorce, friends said the couple had grown apart as Matt had become a star and they did not spend enough time together.
