Has Liam Payne revealed the news we've all been waiting for?

Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their son into the world at the end of March, and have since been very quiet across social media.

There was a lot of speculation about whether the couple were expecting, and Cheryl finally confirmed the news in a gorgeous photoshoot just weeks before giving birth. Although Chiam are yet to reveal the name of the bundle of joy, we're pretty sure that this is what they have called their baby (it's really cute).

However, Liam is keen to keep things ticking over with his new music despite only becoming a dad a few weeks ago.

In October last year, Liam posted a snap on Instagram that caused a One Direction-worthy Internet frenzy, which fans convinced that it had something to do with the release of his new solo music.

Since then, the singer has kept us in the dark about his new material, but according to the New York Post's Page Six, Liam is planning to drop is first debut song in May.

The source told the publication: 'He should have a new single out in May. Liam will be the last one.'

The source, of course, is referring to the fact that all the other members of 1D have already shared their solo stuff with fans, the most recent being Harry Styles (he who can offer his conquests the surprising benefit that comes with four nipples).
