Lea Michele enjoys the Californian sunshine in a tiny pair of denim shorts

The Glee star showed off her legs in a pair of denim shorts as she popped out shopping in sunny LA

Whilst most of the UK suffers torrential rain and chilly autumn winds, Lea Michele made the most of the Californian sunshine yesterday by wearing a summery ensemble whilst out and about in Los Angeles.

The Glee star was pictured doing a spot of shopping in Hollywood, showing off her tanned legs in a pair of tiny ripped denim shorts, a slouchy black jumper and flip flops.

With a black shoulder bag and Aviator-style sunglasses completing her look, Lea headed to several health food stores, even picking up a nutritious-looking green smoothie.

And no wonder the actress looked so cheery. Earlier this week, she was confirmed as the new face of beauty giant L'Oreal Paris in a rumoured $1million deal.

The starlet was officially unveiled as an ambassador of the cosmetics firm in New York on Monday, where she said: 'Growing up on stage, I was introduced to make-up at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L’Oreal Paris iconic lipstick.'

She added: 'It was instant glamour and I’ve been hooked ever since. It wasn’t until I was a bit older that I fully understood the brand’s message of a woman’s worth, which I wholeheartedly agree with.'

Lea follows in the footsteps of Jennifer Aniston, Eva Longoria, Gwen Stefani and Cheryl Cole, who have all starred as the face of L'Oreal. She will make her advertising debut for the brand in the US early next year.
