The DJ hard man made a dramatic exit from the show, after being voted off in the first round
DJ and actor hard man Goldie made a dramatic exit from Strictly Come Dancing over the weekend, after becoming the first contestant to be voted off the 2010 show.
The Hertfordshire star and his partner Kristina Rihanoff – who’s dating 2009 contestant, boxer Joe Calzaghe – were praised by judges and given a respectable 26 for their Foxtrot, but faced an untimely end, after a lack of votes saw them booted off the show. But Goldie remained philosophical about his early exit. ‘It’s all right. I’ve had a great time and been superfit, so I’ll keep that,’ he told viewers.
Despite finishing bottom of the leader board with just 12 points, MP Ann Widdecombe seems to have become something of a viewers favourite, after being unexpectedly kept in the competition.
Critics are already comparing her performances to those of journalist John Sargent, who quit the show in 2009 after viewers saved him week after week, addicted to watching his hilarious, haphazard performances.
‘There is now a real danger that I might win,’ John said at the time, before eventually hanging up his dancing shoes.
