Khloe Kardashian asked not to return to the next season of X Factor USA

Khloe Kardashian has been fired as a host from the X Factor USA after just one season.

In yet another shake-up for the show, Khloe Kardashian will not be returning as a host on the third season, joining Britney Spears and L.A Reid in the X Factor USA retirement home.

Fox Producers confirmed that Kim Kardashian's sister will not be back, saying in a statement: 'Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in the future.'

A show insider also told MailOnline: 'A lot of changes are going to be made this season.

'Khloe was not asked back to the show. Everyone on the show had a great relationship with her and thought she was fun to work with though.'

The show's boss Simon Cowell didn't comment on the famous Kardashian sibling directly but did reveal his delight that fellow co-host Mario Lopez will be back for another round, along with judge Demi Lovato.

He said: 'I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor. Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.'

Mario added: 'I’m looking forward to returning to The X Factor team. We’re coming back stronger and better than ever and I'm excited to check out all the new talent.'
