The mother of pop singer Katy Perry is in talks to release a tell-all book about her disapproval of her daughter's 'choices'

Many parents disagree with the choices their children make. But none quite so publicly as Mary Perry Hudson, mother of songstress Katy Perry, who is planning to publish a book about her feelings for her daughter’s lifestyle – and how much she disapproves of it.

'Amid a torrent of negative reports from tabloid magazines and entertainment shows, Mary Hudson wants to tell 'her story' and dispel a lot of rumours,' the famous parent has reportedly stated, in a proposal to several New York agents.

'Katy's success has impacted her ministry in both negative and positive ways. It is the story of Mary Perry Hudson.'

As a Christian Evangelist, Perry’s mother runs a ministry with her father, Keith. And Katy has often spoken out about her religious upbringing in contrast to her pop career.

'I wasn't ever able to say I was lucky because my mother would rather us say that we were blessed,' the singer told Rolling Stone in 2010. 'Deviled eggs were called 'angeled' eggs.'

After Katy rose to fame with singles Ur So Gay and I Kissed A Girl, Mary was quick to speak out aginst her daughter’s promotion of homosexuality, revealing: 'When it comes on the radio I bow my head and pray.'

But Ms Perry herself has always remained quiet on the subject of her parent's disapproval, instead stating that she 'stopped trying to change them at 21.'

And after her marriage to reformed sex and drug addict Russell Brand last year, and her penchant for cleavage-baring outfits, her mother’s feelings have only become more and more outspoken.

There is no word as of yet from Katy's camp, but lets hope this doesn't cause too many fireworks...
