Will that be cash or card?

If you’re a regular Waitrose shopper up in Norfolk, keep your eyes peeled - you may just run into royalty. The Duchess of Cambridge slipped out for a midweek shop this Easter Monday to grab a few things, a rare public appearance for Kate Middleton.

Dressed in a blush coat and skinny jeans, a heavily pregnant Kate was spotted perusing the aisles with her bodyguard in tow. In photos snapped by a source for The Daily Mail, she was clearly doing her part to save the environment as she’d brought a load of reusable bags to pack all her groceries away in.

The source said, ‘I was just in Waitrose doing a bit of shopping. I just went round the corner of the aisle - and I saw her. I said to my husband, ‘That looks like Kate Middleton’. He said, ‘it’s not’ and I said ‘it is’.

Kate's clearly an avid Waitrose fan as she's previously been spotted on an off duty trip there before, famously for the first time after giving birth to Prince George in 2013.

The source also said hello to Kate, who pleasantly greeted her back. After she wrapped up her shopping, she returned to her Range Rover in the carpark and began loading the bags herself.

Although it’s been formally announced by Kensington Palace that Kate would be giving birth this April, the Duchess clearly couldn’t wait long enough. Apparently, she grabbed a new addition to the family on the way out out of Waitrose - a little herb plant. The best part was: it was on sale. Even Kate can’t resist a bargain.
