Jessie J will perform at the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation Ball next month to help raise funds for leukemia treatment
won’t allow her charity efforts to stop at shaving her head for Comic Relief, oh no, instead she’s signed up for another fundraiser although this time her contribution will be less dramatic and less detrimental to her hair!
The Voice coach has just been announced to perform at Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation Ball at Battersea Power Station next month. The annual event takes place in both the UK and UK and draws stars including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Naomi Campbell and Solange Knowles.
The foundation was created by Grammy-nominated singer, Denise Rich following the death of her daughter Gabrielle to acute myelogenous leukemia at just 27. The event will raise vital funds for research into better treatments for leukemia.
Speaking of her latest venture Jessie said: ‘I am really excited to be performing at Gabrielle’s Gala. It is a truly amazing charity that does incredible work for lymphoma and leukemia. I am proud to supporting the foundation by playing at this event.’
Jessie J isn’t the only star to show her support for charity concerts, Beyoncé will perform at Gucci’s Chime For Change concert this summer as part of the fashion label’s campaign to raise funds, and attention, for female empowerment worldwide.
If this is a trend that’s emerging we’re very much behind it!
