The actress turned businesswoman has amassed a staggering personal fortune through The Honest Company.
Jessica Alba has proved that she really does have brains as well as beauty.
The actress has landed the cover of Forbes magazine after clocking up a personal fortune of an eye-watering $200 million. The issue celebrates America’s Richest Self-Made Women and also features Beyoncé Knowles who’s worth around $250 million.
Jessica – who was propelled to stardom by her role in 2005 film Sin City – co-founded The Honest Company in 2012 and is thought to hold a 15 to 20% stake. The business has since been valued at $1 billion.
According to its site, The Honest Company is ‘a is a trusted source for stylish, eco-friendly baby diapers, wipes, bath & body care products and non-toxic cleaning products.’
Jessica dreamed up the idea when she was pregnant with her and husband Cash Warren’s first child Honor in 2008. The pair welcomed their second daughter Haven a few years later in 2011.
A sufferer of allergies as a youngster, the 34-year-old was keen to seek out more eco-friendly products. A large proportion of The Honest Company’s revenue comes from nappies.
Jessica’s business partner is Christopher Gavigan, the man behind Californian non-profit organisation Healthy Child Healthy World.
The duo fly all over the world to promote their empire and stepped out yesterday in Seol, South Korea. For the event held at the Grand Intercontinental Hotel, Jessica donned a suitably stunning outfit.
She tucked a pale blue button-up shirt into a textured 50s-inspired A-line skirt that fell a couple of inches below her knees.
Jessica – who kept jewellery to a minimum and accessorised with a sky-high pair of pink pastel platforms – wore her mid-brown bob in a sleek and straight style. A ‘do that’s totally on-trend for SS15.
She added colour to her complexion with bronzer and framed her eyes with a flick of mascara.
