The third instalment in the film series is reportedly set to be filmed here in Great Britain
Jennifer Lawrence is set to head to the UK to shoot scenes for the upcoming final instalment in The Hunger Games film trilogy, it's been reported today.
In great news for Jen's British fans, it's understood that the Oscar-winning actress will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen and film scenes for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in locations around Bristol and London later this year.
Randomly, it seems that Jennifer could be swapping District 12 for Hooky Street, as the film's producers have reportedly selected the Ashton Gate housing estate in Bristol to be used as an Eastern European-style city in the movie. The estate was previously used to shoot scenes for British comedy Only Fools And Horses.
Although the classic sitcom was set in Peckham, London, Del Boy and the rest of the Trotter clan's high-rise flat was actually an apartment in a block in Bristol.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Hunger Games producers have earmarked the same estate as a possible location for the main battle scene, as well as a tower block area in south London.'
The eagerly-anticipated second film in The Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, will hit cinema screens on 22nd November, while the first part of Mockingjay is scheduled to be released in November 2014. Production on the third and final instalment in the series is expected to start in September this year.
