Gwyneth Paltrow has given Goop users access to her glamorous New York home with some behind the scenes snaps from her recent DIY session.

Taking on the task of redecorating her family pad without the help of an interior designer, the Oscar-winning actress has documented her progression on her lifestyle website.

And it's every bit as beautiful as you'd expect.

With some help from Windsor Smith, the lady behind Room In A Box (a unique invention that helps you to makeover your interiors), Gwyneth got to work on the 'dead zone' in her home.

'Gwyneth's living room in Amagansett continually stumped her', the Goop newsletter read. 'While it's spacious and filled with light, it had always been a dead zone in the home, where nobody seemed to spend time.'

The actress explains that she wanted 'cosy' yet 'elegant' feel and 'a proper room to entertain in.' Which is created with cool grey and blue hues, to replace an original setup of cream and bright pops of orange and purple.

Meanwhile her music room was given a chic revamp, centred around a grand piano with elegant cream curtains draped in the background. It almost looks too perfect to live in, as a new nude palette is detailed with subtle touches of black and grey textures.
