It's thought Gaga herself co-directed the new vid, along with choreographer Laurieann Gibson and fashion photographer Nick Knight.

The provocative seven-and-a-half minute music show - supposedly set in Alien territory - begins with an introduction from the songstress, who gives a 'manifesto of mother monster'.
'As the wombs numbered and the mitosis of the future began, it was perceived that this infamous moment in life is not temporal, it is eternal. and thus began the the beginning of the new race, a race within the race of humanity, a race which bears no prejudice, no judgment, but boundless freedom,' she says, over a video which appears to show her giving birth.

Lady G's futuristic folly continues with her floating in space, before appearing scantily clad, wielding a machine gun, and finally dressed as a scary skeleton.
She also sports the same bizarre facial horns and pointed shoulders first seen during her show-stopping Grammy's performance, in which she emerged from a giant egg.
