The first snaps of the star in her new role premiered at Comic-Con
Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Answer: Kristen Stewart, of course.
The Twi-star’s been hard at work preparing for new fairytale flick Snow White and the Huntsman, and now we’ve got our hands on the first sneak peek at the star in action…
Lucky Kristen landed the lead in the brooding fairytale remake earlier this year, and has been hard at work getting in shape for the role since wrapping filming on the Breaking Dawn movies.
She’s been spotted sneaking into yoga classes and even taking horse riding lessons – and now we can see why.
The starlet appears in full metal armour, complete with shield in the first snap from the movie – which debuted at Comic-Con over the weekend,
Confirming a darker version of the fairytale is on the way, director Rupert Sanders said: ‘It's not a little girl sitting by a well with tweety birds telling her what's going on.’
Kristen added: ‘I wasn’t initially jumping at the chance [to play Snow White] but she is one of the most heavy-handedly sincere, seriously doesn’t let her heart cloud her mind characters. Also, I get to have a sword and stuff.’
It’s already been confirmed Hollywood newcomer Sam Claflin will step into the role opposite K-Stew, and play the Handsome Prince in the new fairtale flick.
Oscar-winner Charlize Theron has been confirmed as another star in the movie remake, and will take the role of the Evil Queen Ravenna, while Chris Hemsworth, Ray Winstone, Eddie Izzard and Lily Cole complete the star-studded cast.
