The pair have been treading the boards at the Comedy Theatre in London
It’s not often you get to see not one, but two Hollywood A-listers take to the stage in London’s West End. But that’s exactly what’s going on at the Comedy Theatre this month, as Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss star in The Children’s Hour.
The pair trod the boards together for the first time at the end of January, when the Ian Rickson-directed play opened to audiences.
And now we’ve got our hands on the very first pictures of Never Let Me Go star Keira, and Mad Men actress Elisabeth hard at work.
The controversial Lillian Hellman, 1934-set play – banned by some venues after its first outing in the 30s – documents the tale of two school mistresses and a pupil, who alleges a lesbian affair.
The play was made into a film in 1961, starring Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine.
But it’s not just Keira and Elizabeth who steal the show in the new production.
New actress Bryony Hannah – who has worked as a barmaid for the past five years – has also received rave reviews, and been brand an ‘incredible actress’ by many who have seen the show.
