  • We squealed with excitement when Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson were cast as Christian and Anastasia, but who's the latest star to join the movie?

Fifty Shades Of Grey producers have lined up another new cast member for the movie adaptation, according to whispers in Hollywood.

Contagion actress Jennifer Ehle is the latest addition to the cast, and is rumoured to be taking on the role of Anastasia Steele’s mum, Carla.

Carla will have to tackle the controversial relationship that her daughter Anastasia develops with wealthy, S&M-obsessed CEO, Christian Grey, who’s being played by Charlie Hunnam. Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson’s daughter Dakota is taking on the role of Anastasia.

E L James announced the castings of Charlie and Dakota’s characters on her Twitter feed in September, but no such posting has been made about Jennifer’s role. The Fifty Shades of Grey author is thought to be heavily involved with the movie project, alongside director Sam Taylor-Johnson – and producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.

With the movie due for release in August 2014, and no sign of early scenes being shot, we’re starting to get a little bit impatient. Watch this space…
