The brains behind Fifty Shades of Grey opens up about bringing her own fantasies to life

Fifty Shades of Grey has certainly tapped into our inner desires, be they a literal interpretation of the book, or just an excuse to dream of the actors who will portray Christian Grey in the upcoming movie adaptation (we’re still hoping for Ryan Gosling.)

But when it comes to the mastermind behind the books, EL James, her fantasy is far more innocent than anything she’s written about, she told E! news: 'The books are my fantasy. I wrote them for me, really.'

Adding that the success of the books also helped to validate her own sexual thoughts: 'The wonderful thing about doing this is they seem to be other peoples' fantasies, so I'm not such a pervert.'

EL James also chatted away about the hotly anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie, saying: 'All this has been a huge shock to me.

'When I got the first email asking about the film rights, I nearly fell off my chair; it was a huge Hollywood agency!’

But if you’re hoping for an insight into who she thinks will best bring Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey to life on screen you’ll be disappointed.

When asked which actors she’d like to take on the roles the writer said: ‘It gets messy. You might end up with somebody else [other than who I suggested].’

She may be not be a pervert but she’s certainly a tease; we need to know who will take the Fifty Shades of Grey movie roles. Immedietely, if not sooner.
