Emma Stone opens up about 'debilitating and embarrassing' acne and credits her make-up artist for her flawless face
She's a gorgeous young Hollywood starlet with a string of leading roles under her belt and a hot boyfriend to boot, but Emma Stone admits that her life isn't all hunky dory as far as her looks are concerned.
The apparently flawless actress has said that she constantly struggles with acne.
The 24-year-old has revealed that she suffered from hormonal acne as a 17-year-old, and then stress-related acne at age 20.

She told Refinery 29: 'I'm actually pretty interested in skin care, because I had bad hormonal acne when I was 17, and they put me on Accutane for it.
'After two months on the Accutane, I went off of it, and since then, my skin, my mouth, my lips, my eyes are all so dry. Then, I had stress acne when I was 20, when I did Easy A, which they kindly video-airbrushed out of the movie.

'But I realized how debilitating and embarrassing it can be to have cystic acne. So, I'm really interested in the biology of what makes up acne and how to work on it from the outside, too.'
The actress, who is the face of revlon cosmetics, added: 'I'm pretty slutty with products. So that's part of the problem.
'[But] for the most part, I use Cetaphil, the bar soap, and then these pads that I get from the dermatologist, and then Elta lotion.'
When it comes to acne cures, she said: 'Usually, I use tea tree oil. I can't go too crazy, or I'll get a rash. My skin is really sensitive.
'When it's been really bad, I've gone to the dermatologist to get those cortisone shots. Those are amazing. They're kind of a miracle. But also kind of terrifying because this huge needle is coming at your face. But no pain, no gain!'
The actress also credits her team of helpers around her for keeping her flawless, revealing: 'Petra Flannery is my stylist, who is the best-dressed woman alive, clearly. She's never forced anything on me, but she's brilliant. And Rachel Goodwin and Mara Roszak have done my makeup and hair for a long, long time. Do you suffer from break-outs or acne?
