Emma Stone is about to take over from Michelle Williams as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and would you just look at this first shot of her in character. Hawt.
The Hollywood actress, and favourite of Marie Claire, will make her Broadway debut in the classic Kander and Ebb musical in just under a month and will star alongside Alan Cumming who plays the Emcee.
In case you're not up on your musicals, Cabaret is set in 1930s Berlin just as the Nazis are rising to power and revolves around the nightlife at the seedy 'Kit Kat Klub', and, in particular, 19-year-old English cabaret performer Sally Bowles and her relationship with the young American writer Cliff Bradshaw.
At the moment Emma is promoting her current big screen project, Birdman, which coincidentally, is set behind the scenes of a fictional Broadway show.
Speaking to MTV about her decision to take on the iconic role as her Broadway debut, Emma said: 'Something like Birdman makes you realize that the feeling at the end of the day when you've done something that you did not think you could do and you've pushed yourself to a place you did not think you could go is so much better than [thinking], "well that was an easy day at work."
'It kind of does fuel the wanting to do something as scary as a musical eight times a week.'
