David Beckham may have been hard at work training with London football club Arsenal, but the smouldering sports star still found time to share a few snaps on his Facebook page.
Mr B also revealed the team made him feel ‘very welcome,’ adding he has enjoyed getting back on the football field after ending his contract with LA Galaxy.
The footballer posted a series of photos of his stint at Arsenal’s training ground, which show him dressed in the club’s kit, chatting to fellow players and in action on the football field.
Alongside the snaps, he wrote: ‘Good to get back training. Enjoyable first day at Arsenal, the lads have made me feel welcome. Here are some pics’
Beckham’s move to train with the famous club fuelled speculation he could be signing on with them for good, after reports suggest he’s looking for a new club in London.
But manager Arsene Wenger shot down the rumours, telling reporters David’s only interest is staying fit.
‘He’s fantastic — that is one of the reasons I took him here,’ he said. ‘Beckham always has a good word for people. The young English players look at him and take his advice on board. His advice is positive.’
Wenger added: ‘It is purely for fitness. There’s no speculation about signing.
‘He’s a sportsman and wants to get fit — because maybe in June he has plans to play somewhere. Or maybe he will take three or four months off?
‘He has given England great service and you always try to help these people.’
In a recent interview, Victoria Beckham said the family are ‘excited’ about their move back to Britain, following the end of David Beckham’s LA Galaxy contract.
‘Now David has finished playing for LA Galaxy and we are starting a new chapter in our lives,’ she said. ‘As a family we are all very excited about what lies ahead for 2013.’
