This David Beckham Harper Beckham Instagram has divided people

And it's not the first time it's happened....

The Beckhams are all out in Tanzania on holiday and somehow, they’ve still managed to stir up some controversy. One of David Beckham’s latest Instagram posts of himself with his daughter Harper Beckham has been garnering a lot of attention and - well - the internet has a lot of opinions.

Posted on June 1, the photo depicts David Beckham kissing his 5 year old daughter on the lips at Serengeti National Park. Captioned ‘Kiss for Daddy ❤️’, the post currently has over 1,796,700 likes and over 7000 comments - though not all of them are glowing.

People have been kicking off about incestuous undertones to the kiss, while others have been rapidly coming to the ex-footballer’s defence and claiming it’s a perfectly normal display of affection.

One user said, ‘David, to kiss lips of your daughter that's wrong’. Another wrote, ‘I try not to judge but I can’t help but think it’s pretty weird that he kisses her on the lips considering her age’, while somebody else just got straight to the point with the (bizarre) comment, ‘incest kiss ?’.

This isn’t the first time the Beckhams have been caught in this exact debate, as another one of Victoria Beckham’s Instagrams was heavily contested. Posted last year to celebrate Harper’s birthday, it shows the former Spice Girl kissing her daughter on the lips and commenters battled back and forth.

As for David Beckham’s post, most people have been rallying behind him with users calling the image ‘sweet’ and ‘beautiful'.

One user wrote, ‘I'm appalled by some of the comments that kissing your daughter like this is inappropriate ? How conservative and stupid can you be! The world needs more love and a dad kissing his daughter like this is a loving dad!!’

However there was one user whose comment dominated everyone else’s, with the incorrectly spelled question ‘Who’s david beckam’.

We guess some people have more important things to worry about. That said, what do you think? Is the kiss a bit weird, or just a perfectly normal form of family affection?
