In October 2010, Courteney Cox, 48, and David Arquette, 41, shocked everyone when they announced that they were separating after more than 10 years of marriage.
The former couple then waited until June 2012 to officially file the divorce papers, with an LA judge legally ending their marriage this week.

The pair have insisted they will remain good friends, Arquette was an executive producer of her recent series 'Cougar Town', and have pledged to raise their eight-year-old daughter Coco together.
Courteney and David first met in 1996 on the set of the movie Scream, and were married on June 12, 1999 before welcoming Coco in June 2004.

On October 11, 2010, Courteney and David announced they were separating but at the time Courteney assured everyone that the break up was only temporary.
'I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting divorced,' Courteney told TV Week. 'This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.'
Adding: 'Sometimes you just realise, ‘Wow, we actually have grown apart.'
