The Girls Aloud star is reportedly single again after parting ways with her hot American backing dancer
Cheryl Cole has split from her boyfriend Tre Holloway. A spokesperson for the Girls Aloud singer confirmed the news to The Metro this morning.
Cheryl has been dating American Tre since August last year, when he was a backing dancer on her solo tour. Sources tell The Sun that the relationship ended back in June, but that the pair remain close friends.
After seeing the loved-up showbiz couple strolling around London on countless dinner dates earlier this year, it's actually been months since we've seen them in the same country, let alone holding hands. The last time the pair were spotted together was at an NFL game at Wembley in September, but they looked far from cosy.
A friend tells the paper: 'The whole issue of him being in America and her being here, they just couldn’t make it work. Even when she was there it didn’t necessarily mean he was in LA. Her home is here, her family’s here, her dogs are here! She was always going back and forth but you just can’t have a relationship like that, it just didn’t work.'
Cheryl hasn't alluded to the split on her Twitter or Instagram feeds, but has been posting some thoughtful tweets about love and friendship. On Sunday, she wrote: 'Having good people/friends/family etc in your life is priceless. I am extremely grateful! And to be able to share parts of it with you all is the best #havingamoment.'
Then yesterday, she thanked her fans for their continued support, saying: 'Sometimes I just sit here by myself wondering why you're all so kind and nice and caring towards me. It's gets overwhelming. Thank you for everything I mean that… I love you. You're amazing.'
The Girls Aloud star joined her bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts in Amsterdam over the weekend to celebrate Nicola's birthday in a somewhat kinky S&M-themed club.
