A US magazine reveals Britney's 'twisted' past – but George Clooney jumps to her defense
BRITNEY SPEARS LOST her virginity at 14, claims an article in a US magazine.
The troubled star, who once claimed she would remain a virgin until she married, actually had sex at 14 with her first boyfriend of three years – and was intimate with Justin Timberlake from the beginning, claims US Weekly.
The interview, given by Britney's former lawyer, Eric Ervin, also revealed a hidden tragic secret from the Spears' family past, which could account for her self-destructive behaviour – her grandmother, Emma Jean Spears, committed suicide in 1966 when she was just 31.
She died eight years after the death of her baby, who survived for just three days after delivery. She shot herself at the child's graveside, leaving behind four other children, including Britney's dad, Jamie Spears.
But Hollywood star, George Clooney, has defended Britney's erratic behaviour behind the wheel – claiming the paparazzi are to blame.
Clooney, who recently suffered a motorbike crash while riding with his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, told Entertainment Tonight: 'You look at the footage of (Britney Spears) running the red light ... there's eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street.
'There are no rules now. What they're doing is illegal. It's high-speed chases and they're competing with each other. They're not trying to catch me doing something stupid, they're trying to create me doing something stupid. You don't get to break all these laws and then say, "I'm just doing my job"'
He added: 'I don't want to restrict anyone's rights. Take your pictures but don't go 60 (miles per hour) down a one-way street.'
