Britney Spears to guest-star in US sitcom
Britney Spears is set to make a guest appearance on US TV show How I Met Your Mother.
According to US reports, the singer’s agent, Jason Trawick, made a deal with the producers on the show in a move that is being described as ‘a small legitimate project that will keep her busy doing something’.
A statement released by TV network CBS yesterday said: ‘We are confirming that Britney will have a guest role on the show this season.'
Meanwhile, a judge has ruled that Britney’s dad can give her an allowance of £750 per week. Jamie Spears lawyer, Geraldine Wyle, said it was so ‘she can spend money, have her freedom, and make choices about how she wants to enjoy her life.’
In the court hearing, supervised by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, it was also revealed that two specialist lawyers have been hired to help Britney organise her £50 million estate.
The first, Tom Hansen, will be paid £7,500 per month to look after Spears’ entertainment contracts, while a second, Jorge Hernandez, will pick up a £12,500 retainer to act as a consultant on all questions regarding the conservatorship.
The ruling comes the same day as a separate hearing in which lawyers for Spears said that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, should take responsibility for some of his legal bills in their ongoing custody battle. Her lawyer, Stacy Phillips, objected to Britney footing his £250,000 bill.
The hearing was told that Britney has already spent over £500,000 for custody of her two sons with Phillips arguing that her client shouldn't have to pay her former spouse's legal expenses, too.
Spears' lawyer also accused Federline of paying his attorneys too much, and leading an overly excessive lifestyle.
