Anne Hathaway just posted the bikini picture to end all others

All hail Anne Hathaway...

Actress Anne Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman were swimming at the beach yesterday when paparazzi caught the pregnant star unawares, snapping her blooming figure in a bikini without her permission.

Her response? To beat the paps at their own game, posting her own Insta bikini picture, on her own terms - and subsequently making their pictures kinda worthless. Because, really, what in the name of Mia Thermopolis made these people think she wouldn’t react so brilliantly?

‘Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends!’ the Oscar winner began, alongside this gorgeous shot.

‘So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed.’

‘I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :)’ We hear you on that last point.

To top it off, she then added ‘Wishing you love, light and blessings for the year ahead!’ before signing off ‘Annie’ flanked by two lightning bolt emojis.

The fans, naturally, went wild in the star's comment box, praising the 'beautiful mother-to-be' and, excellently, her future 'prince or princess of Genovia.' All hail.
