  • Angelina Jolie makes her on-screen comeback as Disney's haunting Maleficent. And the new trailer will give you goosebumps...

Angelina Jolie‘s new Maleficent trailer has just been released, and it might just blow your mind.

The Oscar-winning actress portrays the haunting Mistress of All Evil a bit too convincingly in the new clip, starring alongside Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora.

Taking on the role of ‘Disney’s most iconic villain’, Angelina’s menacing character terrorises Princess Aurora in the reboot of Disney’s 1959 animated Sleeping Beauty.

At a quick glance, Angelina Jolie‘s snow white skin and blood red lips capture the character’s chilling presence perfectly, while the classic retelling will be her first film role in almost three and a half years.

The mum-of-six set up camp in England to shoot the blockbuster last summer, before relocating to Sydney, Australia where she’s been directing new film, Unbroken.

Speaking about the new movie last year, Angelina told EW: ‘It’s not anti-princess, but it’s the first time they’re looking at this epic woman.

‘I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn’t mean she can’t have other [warmer] qualities.’

Adding: ‘It sounds really crazy to say that there will be something that’s good for young girls in this, because it sounds like you’re saying they should be a villan. [Maleficent] is actually a great person. But she’s not perfect. She’s far from perfect.’

Watch the new trailer below and prepare to be slightly terrified and totally in awe of Angelina Jolie (again).
